Another successful interview! Nadia Sharif one of the biggest names in the international Dance pole. Winner of several titles in pole dance, has conducted workshop for all over the world! Check out our interview with her:

1- How long you practice pole dancing?

I've been pole dancing since Nov of 2007 when I installed a "pole" in my bedroom. I know many people don't support drinking and poling but it's the only way I could gain some courage and endure the pain. I didn't start pole dancing "professionally" until 2008, at Jumbos Clown Room which is where I think I get my flavor from.

2- Have you ever participated in any championship? What contest? How was your expectation? You will parcitipar some championship soon?

Since 2008 I've done lots of competitions! pole Star Invitational 2008, USPDF West Coast 2009, California Pole Dance Championship 2010, 2011, 2012 (took me 3 years to win that comp!!), USPDF Nationals 2011, National Aerial Pole Art 2012, International Pole Masters Cup, International Pole Championship 2013. For every competition, I only hope I don't fall, that I have a good video that I can be proud of and to enjoy the process. I hope to do one more International Competition this year or next year.

3- How is recognition of pole dancing as a sport in your country?

The U.S. Is a big country. In places like California, New York, Florida, Texas and even parts of the Midwest, the vibe is very open to all styles of pole dancing and artistry. Pole dancing has been featured many times on TV, newspapers and magazines in both positive and negative terms. I figure any press is good press!

4- You teach classes or is only an athlete?

I am a full time pole instructor and performer. I also train myself as much as possible to continue to grow and develop my skill set.

5- How you feel teaching workshops internationally?

I love teaching pole internationally. It is an honor and a pleasure to meet so many people and eat the food of the planet. I feel so blessed to be able to see the world and do what I love. Literally better than a dream come true.

6- What are your plans for the future in pole dance? Would you like to come back to Brazil?

My plans for the future is to develop a more intricate training and teaching method. I love teaching but I can only give so much in 90 minutes. I think training retreats or intensifies are a much better way of delivering information and education, so I hope to work towards that goal. As for Brazil, I LOVE Brazil and dreaming of the day I can return!

Now see this woman on the pole!!!
